Qualifications et compétences
- Should have at least a Master’s Degree or equivalent in ecology, natural resource management or sustainable land management
- At least 10 years of practical experiences
- Should have relevant experience in the field of the fight against land degradation, support for sustainable management of agro-sylvo-pastoral areas, agroforestry and agro-ecology, the promotion of climate-smart innovations in Africa etc.
- Should have very good references in carrying out similar studies, developing an investment framework for SLM, defining NDT targets and / or preparing national communications on the CDN.
- Proficiency in English and practical knowledge of French. Proficiency in both languages would be an asset.
- Other skills: Listening skills, communication skills and a strong desire to transfer skills to national executives involved in monitoring the study.
- Ability to work in harmony with all international consultants. Responsible for coordinating the studies of the country components on the SLM component and in relation with all the national experts on this sector.
