Elaboration of a leaflet on the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights

Full description of the project

Within the EIDHR program, the EC LED in Moscow, organizes annual conferences aimed at providing a platform for discussion between different stakeholders, including NGOs and human rights experts, Russian authorities, journalists, and representatives of the EU and member states embassies.
At the next annual conference of the EIDHR EC delegation decided to pay special attention to the presentation of human rights NGOs and their activity. A thematic brochure showing EU support for their work, as well as giving a positive, human, and multifaceted image of it should contribute to this objective.

Overall objective

To strengthen the position of human rights NGOs in Russia.

Specific objective

• To ensure the visibility of EU-supported human rights projects in Russia, to highlight the EU’s commitment to the protection of human rights defenders, and to increase awareness of the role of human rights organizations in the protection of human rights and the promotion of democracy.
