The overall objective of the project is to promote regional trade through regional integration and improved access of SADC member state exporters to EU and global markets for agricultural products (including livestock and fisheries).

The aim of the project is to harmonize food safety regulations, guidelines and control procedures through institutional strengthening in the SADC region, in line with international requirements, in order to increase exports while meeting consumer food safety requirements.
