Qualifications and skills required
- Education: Master’s degree in topics relevant for the primary or secondary education sector as described in the ToR and/or to international
- Strong analytical and drafting skills;
- Proven ability to maintain good professional relations with stakeholders and counterparts;
- Initiative and proven ability to work without supervision;
- Managerial skills: capacity to orient a mission, analysing complex situations, relating with multiple stakeholders over a limited duration
of time, drafting skills
General professional experience
- At least 6 years of experience in the field of education preferably with a focus on analysis, planning and institutional development, especially in the context of conflict, post-conflict, recovery, weak or failing states;
- Preferably previous experience in social inclusion and protection or mainstreaming of rights-based approaches and other policies ensuring that no one is left behind;
- Preferably working experience for/with EU (any level, implementation, consultancies,ROM…);
- Preferably previous working experience in a fragile country
Specific professional experience
- Previous experience in supporting planning process of the education sector;
- Preferably previous experience in supporting budgeting/ costing process of the education sector.
- Language skills: (1) Fluency in English. (2) Knowledge of Arabic.
