Study for the Elaboration of a Strategic Framework for Training in the Sectors of Housing, Equipment, Town and Country Planning, Civil Engineering, Construction and Public Works

The development and proliferation of new technologies, new business methodologies, and successful operations require a strengthening of skills. This is only possible with a solid training strategy, which is the key element of a dynamic development policy.

In this context, the Ministry of Equipment, Housing, Urban Planning and Public Works (MEHAT) wishes to manage jobs and human resources within the strategic framework of a training program.

Overall objective

The overall objective of this sector for the 10th Development Plan is to fully support the integration of the Tunisian economy into the international system by improving its competitive capabilities and by equipment and quality services likely to attract investors and boost foreign trade.

Specific objectives

The objective of this study is to establish an action plan for the reconstruction and development of a training system (structures, human resources, equipment, etc.) in order to improve the sector’s performance. This would allow MEHAT to have :

• A diagnosis of the existing training systems
• An estimate of short, medium, and long-term training needs
• A strategic training action plan for the sector
