The project aims to promote health and social well-being in the Northern Dimension region by strengthening the profile of these issues on regional agendas, engaging stakeholders in the work of the NHPS/NDPHS, and generating evidence-based knowledge and recommendations.
It relies on the organisation of scientific events and thematic workshops to inform public decision-making.

Overall objective
To raise the profile of health and social well-being issues in regional policies, increase the visibility of the NHPS/NDPHS among public decision-makers and civil society, and support evidence-based decision-making.

Specific objectives
• Organise a series of NDPHS scientific symposia/forums producing evidence-based policy briefs and reports on alcohol, lifestyle-related diseases, and social, gender and demographic issues.
• Organise three scientific workshops based on the PYLL study to raise awareness and equip decision-makers for evidence-based action.
• Develop a report on the accessibility and cross-border trade of alcohol to formulate concrete recommendations for decision-makers.

Expected outcomes
• Increased adoption of evidence-based public health approaches in partner countries,
• The production of reports and policy briefs used in decision-making processes, and increased stakeholder engagement in NHPS/NDPHS activities
