Skills for the Green Transition
Detailed project description
The mission involves analysing, across five partner countries, the integration of the green transition into development, education and training policies, as well as into non-governmental initiatives related to green skills.
Overall objective
To provide the ETF with a structured and comparative overview of the strategies, mechanisms and practices for developing skills for the green transition in the five target countries.
Specific objectives
• To identify the place of the green transition in national and sectoral development strategies.
• Examine the integration of green skills into education policies, initial and higher education, as well as adult learning.
• Analyse the adaptation of curricula, occupational profiles and qualification frameworks to the requirements of the green economy.
• Identify relevant international/regional commitments on climate and sustainability.
• Map non-governmental initiatives (CSOs, private sector, providers) contributing to the development of green skills.
Expected outcomes
• A detailed country-by-country analysis of policies and mechanisms relating to the green transition and associated skills.
• A comparative synthesis highlighting progress, gaps and good practices.
• Operational recommendations to strengthen the integration of skills
