Cultural Tourism Development Programme – Strengthening the Private Sector

This mission is part of the European Union-funded cultural tourism development programme, which has been implemented through technical assistance to the Ministry of Culture.

Goals:

The overall goal of this program is to support the Syrian government in promoting Syria as a cultural tourism destination.

The specific goals of this contract are :

Lot 1 – Technical assistance :

• Strengthen the private sector in the field of cultural tourism;
• Ensure the economic development of the local population around the historic sites.

Lot 2 – Training :

• To develop capacity in marketing for cultural sites;
• To develop capacity in the organisation of events at cultural sites.
