Technical Assistance for Capacity Building on the European Health Insurance Card

Full description of the project

The overall objective of this project is to develop the Turkish public health insurance system by increasing the capacity of ISS. The specific objective of this project is to build and increase the capacity of ISS, related public institutions and organizations, and social partners on the European Health Insurance Card through training, workshops, and study visits.

The terms of reference mention two results to be achieved by the project:

1. The capacity of SSI staff and other institutions related to the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) has been developed.

• Analysis of the situation of ISS regarding the EHIC;
• EHIC training;
• Workshop on EHIC;
• Study visit on EHIC;
• Preparation of the EHIC report;

2. Awareness of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) has been reinforced.
