In the face of land degradation, desertification, and the effects of climate change in Niger, the project aims to design an awareness-raising tool for rural communities, in order to enhance their understanding of these issues and encourage sustainable practices.

Overall objective
Strengthen the capacity of the Ministry in charge of the environment to effectively raise awareness among rural populations about the causes and impacts of land degradation and to promote climate change adaptation.

Specific objectives

• Design an educational tool adapted to local contexts;
• Provide information on the causes and consequences of land degradation;
• Promote good practices for climate change adaptation.

Expected results

The Ministry has an operational awareness-raising tool that makes it possible to inform rural communities and foster the adoption of sustainable practices in response to environmental challenges.
