Implementation of the Learning Strategy

Full description of the project

The primary objective of this assignment was to engage a consulting firm to support the implementation of the learning strategy recommendations. Specifically, the consultant assisted the tripartite organization in developing a work-study program in which graduates of higher education institutions are sufficiently exposed to industry and business practices to meet the needs of the marketplace and/or can relatively easily move into self-employment and/or business. In addition, the consultant developed clear guidelines for improving the effectiveness of the tripartite organization charged with overseeing the implementation of the work-study program.

Specific objectives

• Improve the effectiveness of the tripartite organization (government/industry/higher education institutions) as the entity responsible for the work-study program by developing appropriate guidelines, rules, and procedures;
• Develop a work-study program to create a bridge between academic education, skills development, and workplace learning; and
• Promote the employment benefits of the work-study program and support students, employers, and sponsors.
