Detailed project description

The mission forms part of the PNGD and the PROMOGED programme, aimed at the sustainable improvement of living conditions through the establishment and operation of modern solid waste management infrastructure in the Dakar region and three major urban areas.

Overall objective
To contribute to the integrated, efficient and legally secure management of solid waste, generating wealth and jobs for the benefit of local communities.

Specific objectives
• Assist the UCG in approving the reports of the consortium responsible for tender documents,
• Ensure the legal soundness of the procedures for selecting private partners and provide support in drafting design contracts,
• Construction and operation of infrastructure

Expected results
• Validation reports compliant with the requirements of the PNGD and PROMOGED,
• Sites cleared and legally secured,
• Consultation documents and contracts finalised,
• And waste treatment infrastructure operational in the Dakar region and the three targeted urban areas.
