Detailed Project Description

The Smart Villages for Rural Growth and Digital Inclusion (PVI) Project, financed by IDA (World Bank Group), aims to implement a national awareness and communication campaign on digital financial inclusion. This campaign promotes the use of digital financial services (mobile money, e-banking, e-commerce, USSD, etc.), while addressing key issues such as KYC, AML/CFT, personal data protection, and credit scoring, with a primary focus on rural populations, women, and institutional stakeholders.

General Objective
Strengthen the financial inclusion of the population through the adoption and use of digital financial services across the entire national territory.

Specific Objectives
Inform and raise awareness about innovative digital financial products and services;

  • Promote their use among the target populations;
  • Strengthen understanding of issues related to security, regulation, and data protection;
  • Highlight the role of digital centers and financial sector stakeholders;
  • Encourage equitable access to financial services, particularly for unbanked populations

Expected Results
An effective and continuous national campaign is implemented;

  • The levels of knowledge and interest among target audiences are significantly improved;
  • The adoption of digital financial services is increased;
  • Performance indicators are achieved;
  • Good practices and lessons learned are captured and documented.
