Support for the Consolidation of the Transport Sector Information System (SIS)

Full description of the project

This project is part of the Transport Sector Support Programme.

The general objective of the project is to support the implementation of the new transport strategy through institutional and regulatory reforms, to improve transport safety and security and to increase the quality of services.

The aim of the project “Support to the Consolidation of the Transport Sector Information System (SIS) in Algeria” is the development, installation, and operationalization of an Integrated Management Software Package (IMP) at the level of the Central Administration.

The project should achieve in particular

• The operationalization of the Sector Information System (SIS) at the level of the central administration through the installation of software and databases, the creation and distribution of manuals, and the training of users;
• Ensure systematic maintenance of software and databases;
• Plan the regional deployment of the SIS in the executive administrations and state and subordinate bodies.
