Detailed Project Description

The project involves recruiting a training provider to build the capacity of staff at the Ministry of Energy in human resources management and strategic management as part of the RECASEB programme.

Overall objective
To contribute to strengthening the skills of staff involved in the planning, programming, budgeting and monitoring processes within the Ministry of Energy.

Specific objectives
• Master the methods for developing and financing business plans,
• Develop skills in project management and fundraising,
• Adopt results-based management,
• Use MS Project effectively,
• Strengthen proficiency in monitoring and evaluation tools, project management and the integration of environmental and climate considerations.

Expected outcomes
The technical departments of the Ministry of Energy will see their capacity strengthened to manage the electricity grid in accordance with international standards; trained managers will apply methods for business planning, project development, results-based management, monitoring and evaluation, and environmental and social analysis, as well as the advanced features of MS Project in project and programme management.
